Meet the Speekers

Dr Deena Mohammed is a UK-based dentist, entrepreneur, educator, and founder of Explore Dentistry, an educational platform dedicated to helping dentists navigate their careers with confidence. She is passionate about supporting overseas-qualified dentists as they transition into UK practice, empowering them with the knowledge, skills, and guidance needed to thrive professionally.

After qualifying in Sudan, Deena completed postgraduate orthodontic training and a diplma in research Methodlogy and Biostatistics before relocating to the UK, where she successfully navigated the registration process and established herself in general practice. She holds a Certificate in Restorative Dental Practice from the Eastman Dental Institute (UCL), the Licence in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England (LDS RCS Eng), and an MBA.

Alongside her clinical career, Deena is the founder and CEO of Explore Dentistry, an innovative platform that connects dental professionals with high-quality education, career opportunities, and professional development resources. She is also a participant in the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme, where she is developing solutions to improve workforce development and support international dental professionals entering the UK healthcare system.

As the Programme Director of Thrive in UK Dentistry, Deena brings together leading experts from across the profession to deliver practical, evidence-based education that bridges the gap between qualification and confident clinical practice.
